Field Directors

JOB SUMMARY

Hires, trains, and supervises Field Sales reps within a protected territory. Performs field sales, making cold calls, following up on warm leads, and closing client sales using the online sales process and presentation provided on Oakes Writing Website Services or another of their own design provided it is first approved by the company. May also provide sales support for online sales from time-to-time for clients within the Field Director's territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Following up on online leads generated by the company
  • Cold-calling prospective clients by phone, instant message, or in person
  • Following up on cold leads, moving them to warm, and eventually clients
  • Ensuring all essential digital forms are completed for clients, new contracts are submitted daily, and payments are completed by field sales reps
  • Hiring, training, and supervision of territory field sales staff
  • Follow up customer service issues of clients within territory

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to perform the duties of a field sales agent and/or hire and train field agents
  • Strong understanding of the sales process
  • An understanding of Social Media, especially Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram (a large following is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of Customer Relations Management (we use Hubspot)
  • Ability to conduct research related to client needs
  • Ability to operate between multiple windows
  • Ability to use webinar systems for conducting "face-to-face" meetings
  • Basic Understanding of Content Marketing (digital, inbound, online)
  • Knowledge of Google Ads, Analytics, 360, and Console is a plus
  • Knowledge of Video Marketing is a plus
  • Working knowledge of WordPress and other website building platforms is a plus

NOTE: An understanding of digital marketing is important as far as making sales only. This role is entirely sales and sales supervision. All creative and technical elements of the sale are handled by the company. And while the company has provided a recommended sales approach, the Field Director is free to develop his/her own approach (subject to final approval by OWS).

Salary, etc:

  • 25% Commission on gross sales paid daily

Experience:

  • Prefer at least 5 years sales or sales supervisory experience

Education:

  • BS/BA preferred
