Realtor shaking hands with buyer in front of new home sold

247 Blog Ideas for Real Estate Agents

Real Estate is a tough business. Competition is high and both agents and agencies must use every marketing tool at their disposal to attract clients. However, many are missing out with blogs. Why?

Because both home owners looking to sell and those looking to buy have many questions related to real estate. This is demonstrated in this list of 247 blog post ideas.

This list of blogging ideas are actual questions people in Southwest Louisiana (Lake Charles area) are asking right now, listed in the exact order of interest. All a real estate agent needs to do is answer these questions on their website blog and people will find them.

This is what attraction marketing is all about...drawing people to the website.

If you are a Real Estate Agent or Agency and have a website, we recommend you take these examples and create good blogs around each. In time you will draw people to your site week-in-week-out. And be sure to view to the end of this list for additional blog writing information.

NOTE: In this list of blogging ideas you will notice several brand names. We do not filter this list but instead present the information "as is" so that readers can choose to use the information as they see fit. However, it is of interest that more people are searching for certain national realtors than others.

Additional Tips for Writing Your Real Estate Blogs

Oakes Writing Website Services has been helping real estate agencies and property investors grow websites and portfolios since our beginning in 2009. During that time we have learned a lot about marketing real estate online. We share the Cliff's Notes version with you here.

  1. Lesson One - Write for your audience. If your real estate agency is here in Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Moss Bluff, DeQuincy or any other part of the SWLA region, you know we talk different from folks living in Dallas, TX. Do not use a marketing agency from outside your region UNLESS they can write as if from here. The reason for this is simple. We use different words in search than other folks. Even subtle differences in the structure of words can make a difference.
  2. Lesson Two - Do not rely ONLY on listings. Listings are fine, but they are only useful to those actively seeking to buy right now. And sellers only browse listings to get a better idea how much to ask for their property. Since every blog reader is either a home owner or wants to be one day, every reader is a potential buyer or seller. The way to draw them into your site and gain their trust is to answer the questions they are asking Google before they are in the market. Hence, the list.
  3. Lesson Three - Do not be stingy with what you know. Answer questions completely and clearly. Write at least 500 words on your blog...more is even better. In fact, most studies today put the ideal word count closer to 1800.
  4. Lesson Four - Share the love with links. Be sure to add links where appropriate to sites other than yours. This helps readers discover new information and sends a signal to search engines that you create a useful website. Your SEO and search standing is improved and people find you easier. Just don't send them to a competitor, of course.

There is far more than this that we could add about creating content that draws people to your site, but these basics should help.
