Accurate Content

Accuracy matters, whether a Law Firm is located in Texas or Louisiana, Chicago or St. Louis, handles state or Federal cases.

At Oakes Writing, we ensure that all content is as complete and current as possible, well-referenced, and approved by you prior to publication. The goal is to provide readers of the Law Firm’s website with the correct information needed when needed. Doing so strengthens the Firm’s reputation as being the expert needed for a case.

How Does Oakes Writing Ensure Accurate Legal Information

Oakes Writing was founded by C J Oakes. A long-time student of law, Mr. Oakes holds a BS in Criminal Justice. After working in the field for a time, he returned to writing because he saw a need among Law Firms for effective content marketing.

In the early days of his career, Mr. Oakes was a part-time ghost writer, developing books and technical manuals for business and law clients. Spending countless hours in the local Law Library taught him how to research legal topics. It was during this period that he developed a passion for law.

Having developed content for real estate firms and other business websites, he decided to turn that passion into a company devoted to helping Law Firms. However, rather than going to the Law Library, the library now comes to him.

In order to ensure the most accurate information possible, Oakes Writing employs a three-tier approach. Each page and post is written using this approach:

  1. Research into the key words people are using to research legal topics is conducted along with research related to trends; combining these provides the proper framework for developing content.
  2. Using LexisNexis, FindLaw, the Columbia Law School Library, Justia, State Law websites, Federal Law Resources, and more, content is carefully developed, cited, and referenced.
  3. Before publication, our attorney client reviews the page to ensure that it meets both the standards of the Firm and is correct per his/her understanding.

Why Oakes Writing Content Gets Results

In 2009, Mr. Oakes found that his style of writing was ideally suited to the Internet. The writing is formal, yet conversational when appropriate. Using a generalized APA format of writing, the content is cited and referenced (then linked). This stimulates better search results.

Having spent the bulk of his working life as a career sales rep helped set the stage for developing content that not only appealed to readers, but resulted in action. In creating content for Law Firms, one element which is vital to the success of the firm is salesmanship.

Marketers have for decades understood that through careful use of words, readers can be led to a decision. The pump must be primed as the saying goes. So when creating content for Law Firms, Oakes Writing develops it using the same approach marketers use. This is especially so for blog content.

A formula acronym used in marketing is useful in the development of content which generates leads for a Law Firm. It is:

  • A – Attention
  • I – Interest
  • D – Desire
  • A – Action

By developing content using this simple format, adhering to the rules established by Google for better search results, providing readers with timely, accurate legal information, and writing in a way that keeps people reading, Oakes Writing gets results for clients.

Oakes Writing is a content marketing firm located in Lubbock, Texas, USA. Since 2009, Oakes Writing has been creating content for the Internet. Prior to that, Oakes Writing developed ghost-written books for clients nationwide. Most of these were created for traditional print media, but with the rise of eBooks, this focus shifted to include shorter books for email marketing, extensive books for impressing clients, technical manuals, and books for any other purpose required by clients.

From 2010 to 2015, Oakes Writing developed web content for any kind of website, mostly business and real estate. However, starting in 2016, our founder C J Oakes took his passion and training in law to Law Firms. Noticing a trend, he recognized that a need existed to help Law Firms improve and grow their websites. Combining his skill in writing with his formal training in law and criminal justice, he decided to take Oakes Writing in a new direction…helping Law Firms exclusively.
